Canyons Clinches MVC Title With 19-2 Win
Shortstop Don Erickson slugged a two-run homer in the fifth inning and a three-run homer in the sixth inning, and Frank Halcovich struck out six in five scoreless innings to lead College of the Canyons to a 19-2 win Thursday over Mission at Valley College.
Canyons (14-3-1, 23-10-1) clinched its third straight Mountain Valley Conference baseball title.
