Carnation Co., Los Angeles, has announced the promotion of three executives and the retirement of another.
Jule N. Kvamme has been promoted to executive vice president and chief administrative officer. He had previously served as senior vice president.
Michael W. Malone has been promoted to senior vice president and chief financial officer from treasurer. He has served as treasurer since 1977, and he will be succeeded by Peter D. Argentine, who was also named a vice president.
Robert D. Kummel will resign Dec. 31 as executive vice president in anticipation of his retirement. Kummel joined Carnation in 1953 as an attorney, was appointed a vice president for research and development in 1965 and was named a senior vice president in 1971. He was elected to the board of directors in 1969 and to the executive committee of the board in 1970.
