“Yellowstone in Winter.” Wolfgang Bayer Productions. $39.95. Nature films are plentiful on PBS, including the excellent “Nature” series itself, where this video was shown. Still, you might like to buy or rent this tape if you missed it: Here’s a Yellowstone few tourists see--with the expected winter wonderland scenes, yes, but also with unique images, the most stunning enhanced by steam rising from the geysers and hot springs. Not everything is beautiful; we also see the struggles that the park’s animals face each winter, including the sad plight of a buffalo that has fallen into an icy lake. But most of this one-hour documentary, exquisitely filmed by Bayer and tastefully narrated by George Page, is far more pleasant to watch. Information: (307) 733-6590.
