R.H. Estates : Hearing Set on Moratorium
The City Council set Feb. 24 for a public hearing on a proposed 45-day moratorium that would prohibit development on Palos Verdes Drive North.
The action would block multi-unit development or subdivisions of two or more lots when construction would require driveways on Palos Verdes Drive North.
The Planning Commission has determined that allowing additional access to Palos Verdes Drive North would have an adverse effect on traffic and safety.
The moratorium was suggested to allow the city to study ways to reduce traffic and safety hazards on the busy street.
