A music scholarship for young Latinos was unveiled Sunday in honor of Ritchie Valens, whose brief rock ‘n’ roll career in the late 1950s is portrayed in the current movie, “La Bamba.” The Ritchie Valens Music Scholarship will support young Latinos wishing to pursue a college music education.
