The September issue of Art & Antiques magazine will provide a preview of half of Georgia O’Keeffe’s 200 “explicitly sexual” flower paintings for the first time in 60 years. USA Today reports that the magazine, now available on newsstands, was published in anticipation of the October release date of “Georgia O’Keeffe: One Hundred Flowers,” a Knopf book containing many of the paintings that earned the artist the title of “new goddess of eroticism” when they were first exhibited in the 1920s.
