Countywide : Monday Is Deadline to Register for Election

Monday is the deadline for voter registration for the Nov. 3 elections.

Donald Tanney, county registrar of voters, said he expects fewer than 15% of the county’s 1 million voters to cast ballots in the off-year election. In November, 1985, the voter turnout was 11.95%; in November, 1983 and 1981, it was 11%.

Residents who have changed addresses or who want to register for the first time may do so in person from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today, and from 8 a.m. to midnight on Monday at the Registrar of Voters, 1300-C S. Grand Ave., Santa Ana.

From noon to 5 p.m. today and Sunday, residents may also register at the following locations:

Alpha Beta, 1250 E. Chapman Ave. (at Raymond Avenue), Fullerton.

Huntington Center Mall, 7777 Edinger Ave., (near See’s Candy Shop), Huntington Beach.

Alpha Beta, 30252 Crown Valley Parkway, (at Alicia Parkway), Laguna Niguel.

From noon to 5 p.m., Saturday only, at:

Alpha Beta, 915 S. Brookhurst St., Anaheim.

Sav-On Drugs, 12825 Beach Blvd., Stanton.
