Lazers Defeated by Minnesota, 6-3

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. —
Steve Kinsey scored two goals as the Minnesota Strikers defeated the Lazers, 6-3, in the Major Indoor Soccer League Saturday night.
Gary Etherington’s fourth goal of the season gave the Strikers (24-15) a 4-3 lead at the 2:24 mark of the third quarter. Alan Willey and Hector Marinaro scored goals in the third quarter to end the scoring.
In the first quarter, Kinsey and Mike Sweeney scored for Minnesota, and Paul Child and Jim Gabarra scored for the Lazers (17-18).
Kinsey’s second goal just 15 seconds into the second quarter gave the Strikers a 3-2 lead at halftime.
