Seal Beach Polls to Open at 7 a.m.
Seal Beach will have 23 polling booths open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. for today’s municipal election.
Mayor Edna Wilson and Frank Laszlo are running unopposed for council seats, and Vanessa McCants is challenging incumbent Joanne Yeo for the city clerk position.
Voters also will decide on Measure A--a slow-growth initiative that would require a two-thirds majority approval by voters on any decision affecting public or “quasi-public” land considered open space.
Yeo estimated that about 35% of the city’s registered voters will cast ballots. Seal Beach has about 27,000 residents.
