A federal judge dismissed a lawsuit by Muhammad Ali, former heavyweight boxing champion, against the federal government and the World Boxing Assn. over the loss of his title for draft evasion during the Vietnam War.

The suit was filed four years ago, but U.S. District Judge John Garrett Penn ruled in Washington that the statute of limitations had expired 11 years ago for the claims against the federal government and 14 years ago for the claims against the WBA.
