Bones discovered on Cowles Mountain in San Carlos have been positively identified as human, police said.
The bones were uncovered Wednesday afternoon by a man digging in a ravine near Cowles Mountain Boulevard and Navajo Road, police said. The unidentified man reported that he found what appeared to be a human skull and rib, said a police spokesman. Police are investigating whether the person was slain.
