West Virginia quarterback Major Harris has sued Pittsburgh police, saying excessive force was used and racial slurs made during his arrest two years ago.
Harris, 21, was arrested on June 26, 1987, for recklessly endangering another person and resisting arrest.
The charges were dropped two months later when the arresting officer failed to appear at a preliminary hearing.
