Born in the U.S.A.: The girlfriend of Bruce Springsteen has given birth to the rock balladeer’s first child--a boy--Springsteen’s lawyer said Thursday. Patti Scialfa, 38, a back-up singer in Springsteen’s band, delivered the 7-pound, 9-ounce boy at an undisclosed California hospital sometime since Tuesday, said lawyer Barry Slott of Asbury Park, N.J. Slott did not know the boy’s name, the name of the hospital or the condition of the mother or child.
