HUNTINGTON BEACH : Bank Bandit Gets $5,800 in $20 Bills
A man wearing dark glasses robbed a bank of $5,800 in 20-dollar bills Wednesday morning, police said.
At 11:35 a.m., the robber handed a note to a teller at Bank of America, 15672 Springdale St., demanding 20-dollar bills, Sgt. Luis Ochoa said.
The teller put the money in an envelope provided by the robber, and he left without incident, police said.
No weapon was seen, although the note said the robber had a gun.
He was described as white, in his late 20s to early 30s and 6 feet, 3 inches tall. He has short, dark hair and was wearing a red plaid shirt and jeans.
