La Canada Flintridge : Take a Bus to the Beach

The City Council voted unanimously on Monday to again take part in the Los Angeles County Summer Beach Bus Program, which begins June 27.

Buses will pick up residents on Thursday and Saturday mornings through July 25, and Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from July 27 through Sept. 7.

The stops will be: 9:15 a.m. at Two Strike Park, 5107 Rosemont Ave., La Crescenta; 9:20 a.m. at the County Library, 4521 La Crescenta Ave., La Crescenta; 9:25 a.m. at the RTD stop at Montrose and Oceanview avenues, Montrose, and 9:30 a.m. at Memorial Park, 1301 Foothill Blvd., La Canada Flintridge. Buses will arrive at Santa Monica Pier about 10:20 a.m.

Return buses will leave the pier at 3 p.m. and stop at Memorial Park at 4 p.m., the RTD stop at 4:05 p.m., the library at 4:10 p.m. and Two Strike Park at 4:15 p.m.

Round-trip fare will be $1. Those 62 and older and the disabled can ride for 40 cents. Children younger than 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
