American Steve Bryan was named the new first-round Wimbledon opponent for second-seeded Stefan Edberg, whose original opponent, Andres Gomez of Ecuador, withdrew because of a knee injury.
Goran Prpic of Croatia also withdrew because of an ankle injury and was replaced by Henrik Holm of Sweden. Holm will play Grant Doyle, an Australian junior.
