Boy, 3, Hit by Car
A 3-year-old Costa Mesa boy was hit and seriously injured by a car as he crossed Harbor Boulevard against traffic Saturday afternoon, police said.
Damien Yundel Castleberry was in serious condition Saturday night at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana after being struck by a car driven by 36-year-old Miroslaw Jaroslawski of Costa Mesa.
Castleberry began crossing Harbor at Merrimac Way by himself and against a “Don’t Walk” signal when he was hit shortly after 1:30 p.m., police said. No citations were issued, but police said the accident is under investigation.
