Share

A search of a Newbury Park residence led to the arrest of three people and the seizure of two pounds of cocaine valued at $100,000, authorities said Thursday.

In addition to the arrests and the drug seizure, investigators confiscated items purportedly purchased with drug profits, Ventura County Sheriff’s Sgt. Gary Pentis said. Sheriff’s narcotics detectives were assisted by the FBI in a monthlong investigation of suspected drug sales by Joseph Romagnano, 21, of Newbury Park, Pentis said.

When officers served a warrant Wednesday at the residence Romagnano shares with Regina Estes, 22, they confiscated two pounds of cocaine and arrested Romagnano and Estes on suspicion of selling cocaine, he said.

A third person, Salvador Gonzalez, 25, of Santa Paula, was arrested on an outstanding traffic warrant when he arrived at the house and allegedly tried to buy an ounce of cocaine, Pentis said.
