A waning Santa Ana will be nudged out this weekend by increasing humidity and early morning fog Sunday, but the sunny skies, warm days and chilly nights the county has grown accustomed to will linger, the National Weather Service said.

“Really nice, really great Chamber of Commerce weather,” said Wilbur Shigehara, senior meteorologist for the weather service. “The warm temperatures will be spoiled only by early morning fog and low clouds Sunday morning.”

The high Thursday at Lindbergh Field was 74, Shigehara said. One of the colder spots in the county was Santee with an overnight low of 32, he said.

Inland areas can expect highs today from 75 to 85, and a few degrees cooler through the weekend, Shigehara said. Nighttime frost may touch some of the coldest inland areas were lows are expected to range from 35 to 45 tonight, and from 40 to 50 Saturday night.
