Boy Wounded in Drive-By Shooting
A 14-year-old boy was wounded in the leg Thursday during a gang-related drive-by shooting in Wilmington, Los Angeles police said.
His condition was not immediately known.
The boy was near West D Street and Wilmington Boulevard about 4 p.m. when the assailants drove up, shouted several gang slogans and fired, said Sgt. Mark Jauregui of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Harbor Station.
The boy was taken to Harbor/UCLA Medical Center, said Los Angeles fire spokesman Bob Collis.
