Outlaw Shows Versatility

Share

Swingman Charles Outlaw may be the Clippers’ most versatile player.

The team’s best defender, Outlaw has played center, forward and point guard this season.

Although he has yet to start a game, Outlaw leads the club in blocked shots (1.8) and is second in rebounding (6.9).

But he remains one of the NBA’s worst free-throw shooters. He shot 44.4% at the line last season, 46.7% (14 of 30) this season.

Although he’s averaging a team-high 15 points, guard Malik Sealy is shooting only 37.5% from the field. Sealy, who shot 42.3% in the first four years of his NBA career, missed 12 of 18 shots in Sunday’s 102-94 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.

How much have the Clippers improved this season?

After winning only four road games in 1994-95, they’ve already won three of their first four road games this season, losing only to the Lakers by seven points at the Forum last Friday night.
