Stolen Check
Although it is not a good business practice to cash checks without proper identification, I had my tax refund for tax year 1994 cashed without my proper ID. This could have been avoided if the banking institution demanded a current driver’s license.
I talked to an IRS representative regarding this stolen check but there was nothing they could do about it. Fellow taxpayers, beware!
