After a one-game break, the Yuni Kim Hitting Show returned on Wednesday night at the Hangar.

Kim hit two more home runs, leading the Lancaster JetHawks to a 13-5 victory over the San Bernardino Stampede before a crowd of 2,788--a Hangar record low--who braved a 31-degree wind chill.

The JetHawks’ Korean left fielder had gone 10 for 18 with nine runs batted in in the four games before his 0-for-5 effort Tuesday night at Bakersfield. But Kim heated up again as soon as he got back into the JetHawks’ home ballpark.

Kim walked in his first trip, then lined an opposite-field home run leading off the fourth. An inning later, Kim blasted another opposite-field homer--this one with a man on base--to give the JetHawks a 7-4 lead.

He finished his three-for-four night by muscling a broken-bat single through the infield in the seventh, driving in his fourth run of the game.

In seven games of professional baseball--Kim signed his first contract this spring--he is 13 for 28 (.464) with four home runs and 13 RBIs, among the league leaders in all three categories.

Right fielder Tarrik Brock also continued to pull out of a slump, hitting a three-run home run in the second and walking three times. It was his second homer in three nights after starting the season two for 19.

The JetHawks, who had their highest run output in the young season, collected 13 hits, but they took advantage of eight walks and a hit batter. Six of the nine players who reached on free passes scored.
