A midmorning fire at a single-family house caused $225,000 in damage to the structure, but none of the people inside the home were seriously injured, fire officials said Saturday.

The fire in the 500 block of Brambles Way began in the garage shortly after 10:30 a.m., fire officials said. The fire spread to a van, a nearby tree and then the house itself, fire officials said.

One resident was treated at the scene for anxiety and a firefighter was taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Orange and treated for heat exhaustion, officials said. The firefighter was later released to duty.
