SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO
The Cultural Heritage Commission on Tuesday approved a contract between the city and the owners of three historical houses on Los Rios Street.
The contract was set up to encourage the preservation of the historic buildings: the Forster House, 31711 Los Rios St.; the Rodman House, 31721 Los Rios St.; and the Trulis House, 31733 Los Rios St.
If the contract is approved by the City Council, it would bind Allian and Claudia Niccola, the owners, to maintain the properties for 10 years.
In return, the city would grant property tax reductions to people who donate money to the houses.
