Bills’ McGahee May Sign Today
First-round draft pick Willis McGahee could sign with the Buffalo Bills as early as today.
The running back’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said Monday there still were important issues to work out but added, “I’m confident we can get a deal done tomorrow.”
Rosenhaus told McGahee to be ready to leave for the Bills’ training camp facility in suburban Rochester, N.Y., at a moment’s notice.
“We have him on standby,” Rosenhaus said.
The former University of Miami star was drafted 23rd overall by the Bills. He and Jacksonville quarterback Byron Leftwich, the No. 7 selection, are the only first-round draft picks yet to sign.
