A onetime home of renowned fashion designer Bob Mackie has come on the market in the Beverly Crest area at $3.85 million.

The 4,100-square-foot contemporary was built in 1956 and features expansive canyon, cityscape and ocean views. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring in natural light, high ceilings enhance the sense of spaciousness and French doors connect to multiple patios.

Living and dining rooms, a den, an office, a gym, staff quarters and a wine cellar are among the stylish living spaces. The updated kitchen with a breakfast area opens to a family room.

Terraced gardens surround the house.

Mackie, 74, has worked with such stars as Cher, Judy Garland and Joan Rivers. He designed costumes for Carol Burnett on “The Carol Burnett Show,” starting in 1991.

The property last changed hands in 2007 for $2.1 million, public records show.

Zach Goldsmith of Hilton & Hyland, an affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, is the listing agent.
