Robin Thicke is speaking out for the first time since he and Paula Patton announced their split — though he’s not dishing any real dirt. Still, there is more info on the days leading up to the breakup announcement.

“I want to thank everyone for the well wishes these last few days,” Thicke said Wednesday on his official website. “My fans mean everything to me. I’m looking forward to getting back on out on the road and performing in Washington DC this Thursday, and the rest of the tour. Looking forward to seeing everyone out there!”

This comes after Thicke canceled shows in Atlanta, Orlando and Cherokee, N.C. In a statement obtained by USA Today, he claimed vocal problems and apologized to fans for the first two cancellations, while the third venue posted a note on its website blaming “unforeseen circumstances.”

Thicke flew to Vancouver on Friday, the day of the nixed Atlanta show, to meet with Patton, TMZ reported. She’s shooting a movie up there. The website’s sources said Patton had made up her mind about the split by then, but Thicke gave it a shot anyway, trying to save the marriage. No dice.

On Sunday, the day after the canceled Universal Studios Orlando show and the day before his split was announced publicly, Thicke was spotted wearing his wedding ring on a visit to Disneyland with his 3-year-old son, Julian. (That had to sting Universal, strictly from a theme park-versus-theme park point of view.)

Nineteen dates remain on the tour, kicking off with a show Thursday in D.C., according to Thicke’s website.
