Nail services a point of popularity

The love affair with nail polish that ignited during the recession is still going strong. According to a March 2013 report by global market research firm NPD Group, "more than half of women age 18-plus have purchased nail products for at-home use or professional nail services in the past year" and those going to a professional are twice as likely to experiment with sturdy gel polish as they are services like nail art. In the year preceding the report, women spent an average of $204 on nail salon services.
