Los Angeles police searched Thursday for at least one man who tried to lure female victims into a car, authorities said Thursday.

Four separate incidents in the Cypress Park area have been reported since October 2012. In two of those cases, the same girl was walking on the street alone when the suspect pulled up in a vehicle and offered a ride, police said.

Police described the girls as “young” but did not provide their ages.

In each incident, the girls refused to go into the car and ran away. The suspect had no physical contact with the girls, police said.

More than one suspect may be involved, police said. They completed two composite sketches of the suspect, who is described as a 30- to 45-year-old Latino standing 5 feet 8 to 6 feet tall.

In one sketch, he has short, dark hair, a light mustache and a possible goatee. A second sketch depicts him as bald and wearing small earrings and a chain around his neck.

The suspect was seen driving a light-colored 2007 to 2011 Honda Accord with possible temporary plates, police said. Another vehicle was described as a dark green 2007 to 2010 Toyota Camry.

Anyone with information is asked to contact LAPD Northeast Area Det. II Mark Raichel at (213) 344-5741. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or go to “webtips” on the website LAPDOnline.org.
