Letters: One nation, not so indivisible

Re “White House gets secession petitions,” Nov. 15

So some people in Louisiana and other states want to secede. Let them.

Some of these states probably get more in federal services than they pay in taxes.

When the next hurricane hits, we’ll buy what’s left of their “country” at fire-sale prices in a modern Louisiana Purchase -- and let them “self-deport” to the new country of North Dakota.
