Football: New spread offense at Dominguez
Compton Dominguez freshman Sean Harlston is three-sport scholar athlete.
Compton Dominguez has been relying on the double wing seemingly forever.
Now Coach Jason Miller has put in the spread offense and plans to use it 60% of the time or more depending on its effectiveness.
The key will be how well sophomore quarterback Sean Harlston handles running things. So far, so good, Miller says. Harlston is an A student and adjusting fast. He also has the versatility to run and pass, which is needed for the offense.
But Dominguez still has the option of using the run-oriented double wing.
Dominguez opens its season on Aug. 26 against Tustin. It will be the battle of coaches named Miller. Myron Miller is back as coach at Tustin and he also has used the double wing.
