Galaxy advances in CONCACAF Champions League
PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad —
Alan Gordon scored in the 82nd minute and the Los Angeles Galaxy tied Central FC 1-1 on Wednesday night to wrap a spot in the second round of the CONCACAF Champions League.
Los Angeles improved to 2-0-1 with one Group E game left Oct. 21 at Comunicaciones of Guatemala. The Galaxy routed Central 5-1 on Aug. 6 in California.
Willis Plaza scored for Central (1-2-1) in the second minute.
Comunicaciones is 1-2-0.
