USC football: Nothing set in stone for quarterbacks, Kiffin says
USC Coach Lane Kiffin has said he anticipates that quarterbacks Max Wittek and Cody Kessler will both play Thursday against Hawaii.
But Kiffin is not revealing how he intends to parse playing time.
He has said that Wittek and Kessler would not alternate series and that they probably would not alternate quarters.
“We’re not going to put anything set in stone about plays or quarters or series,” Kiffin said Monday, adding “We’ll get a feel for how the game is going and make decisions as we go.”
Wittek started two games last season.
Kessler, the holder for placekicks, played in 10 games last season but only two at quarterback. He completed two passes against Colorado.
