USC defeats Cal, 77-69, for first Pac-12 Conference win of season

USC won its first Pac-12 Conference game of the season Wednesday night, and California lost its first, as the Trojans defeated the Golden Bears, 77-69, at the Galen Center.

USC, 10-9 overall and 1-5 in conference play, was led by forward Nikola Jovanovic with 23 points. The Trojans had four players scoring in double digits.

Cal (14-5, 5-1) was led by guard Justin Cobbs with 22 points.

The Golden Bears began the game tied with top-ranked Arizona as the only undefeated teams in Pac-12 play.
