It was an all-American grand slam for Holly Steen and Jeff Lowzik — a Dodger game, the Fourth of July and a wedding that ended with a glorious display of fireworks.

Steen, 33, and Lowzik, 35, were married July 4 at Dodger Stadium. Fifty guests attended, enjoying dinner accompanied by wine, as well as Dodger Dogs, Cracker Jack and beer.

They met in 1996 while working at a toy store, but Steen had a boyfriend. In 2006, Lowzik found her again on Myspace. “I’ve been waiting 10 years to see you again,” he told her.

He is now an X-ray technician at Consultants for Lung Disease, and Steen owns Cakes and Kisses Wedding Photography.

Lowzik popped the question on Fourth of July weekend last year after an Angels game at Anaheim Stadium.

“I’m an Angels fan, too,” Steen explained. They also love sushi. Their wedding cake, created by Leslie Maynor of Fantasy Frostings in South Pasadena, was shaped like a bento box and topped with sushi made of fondant.

“We’re really euphoric,” Steen said.

The Dodgers weren’t so lucky — the Mets beat them 5-2.
