In an interview earlier this year, Kevin Bacon remarked about his fondness for the “Tremors” series, saying “I’d love to do something else with “Tremors” and revisit the character 25 years later.”

It’s beginning to look like he’ll have the opportunity to do just that.

Blumhouse Productions and Universal Cable Productions are developing a series based on the series of sci-fi films, which include the Bacon-starring 1990 original, five direct-to-video sequels and a 13-episode SciFi Channel series from 2003.

Bacon would return to the series not only as an actor but as an executive producer. Andrew Miller, creator of single-season CW series “The Secret Circle,” is penning the adaptation.

As evidenced by his tweet from Tuesday, Perfection, Nev., the setting of the original film, is clearly a place Bacon would like to return to, regardless of its giant worm problem.

It’s unclear where the proposed series might ultimately end up, as the project is being shopped around by UCP and Blumhouse.

Bacon was last graced television on Fox’s “The Following,” which ended in March 2015.
