‘Hey Bartender,’ the movie: The cocktail documentary “Hey Bartender” opens Friday for its weeklong run at Sundance Sunset Cinemas. The film is an ode to mixology and follows a former Marine bartender shaking his way toward stardom at New York’s Employees Only, and an ex-banker working to turn around the neighborhood bar he’s owned for 18 years. The cast also features Julie Reiner of Clover Club, Sasha Petraske of Milk & Honey and Dale DeGroff, a.k.a. Barnsdall summer wine tasting: Sunset wine tastings at Barnsdall Art Park continue through the summer, and the next tasting is Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the gated gardens of the historic Hollyhock House. Silverlake Wine is presenting four wine picks -- boutique, small-production, artisan, what have you. The cost is $25 per person and includes a limited edition wine glass. Ceviche Project: The Ceviche Project is popping up at the Writer’s Room for two evenings of ceviche and cocktails on June 19. Two seatings will feature the drinks of mixologist Daniel Nelson with four courses of seafood creations from Ceviche Project founder Octavio Olivas, along with “special treats” from the kitchen of Supperclub LA. LuckyRice festival: LuckyRice Night Market goes on a national tour and hits Los Angeles on Saturday, July 27, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Bookbindery in Culver City. The Asian food fest features street food takes from chefs including Sang Yoon (Father’s Office, Lukshon), Jet Tila (the Charleston), Bryant Ng (Spice Table), Kris Yenbamroong (Night + Market), Mohan Ismail (RockSugar) and Jenee Kim (Parks BBQ). Also in the festival are Jitlada, Ayara Thai, Komodo Food, BEP Vietnamese Kitchen, Asia de Cuba, Katsuya, Black Hogg, Zengo and Hamasaku.
