Blackhouse Hospitality to open Little Sister in DTLA and a steakhouse in Hermosa

Share

Jed Sanford and chef Tin Vuong of Blackhouse Hospitality, the folks behind Little Sister, Abigaile, Wildcraft and Dia de Campo, plan to open a second Little Sister in downtown L.A., as well as a steakhouse in Hermosa Beach next year.

The downtown outlet of Little Sister is slated to open late winter/early spring of 2015 at 523 W. 7th St.

Times restaurant critic Jonathan Gold described the Manhattan Beach, Vietnamese-skewed pan-Asian restaurant as “a date-night restaurant with mayhem at its soul... each dish twisted not toward the comfortable trio of sugar, garlic and chiles, but toward the wilder palette of fermented flavors, dried fish and gooey texture most common on the other side of the Los Angeles river.”

Details are slim on the steakhouse concept, but we do know it will open next year at 117 Pier Avenue in Hermosa Beach. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we receive more info.
