Junior Jeff Phillips ran 14.9 in the 110 high hurdles and 40.2 in the 300 hurdles to lead host Fremont in a Coliseum league meet that included Crenshaw and Locke. Overall team scores were not kept in this meet.

Brett Gray won the 100 meter in 10.7 seconds and the 200 meter in 22.3 seconds for Wilmington Banning.

BEST MARKS--high jump-Blackmond (Los Angeles) 6-2Martin Zuniga won the 200 meter at 23.7 seconds and the 400 at 51.9 seconds for Lincoln (2-2 league). Los Angeles is 4-0 in league.

L.A. Marshall’s Swann won the 100 meter at 13.0 seconds and the long jump at 14 feet 3 1/2 inches and was part of the winning 4x400 team that won at 4:25.4 for L.A. Marshall (4-0 league). Lincoln is 3-1 in league and Los Angeles is 0-4.

SUNSET SIX LEAGUE

Boys

Hollywood 70 1/2, Grant 46 1/2, North Hollywood 42
Junior Marlon Lucky, who is also an all-city running back, ran 10.7 in the 100 meters and 22.6 in the 200 meters for host North Hollywood. Grant is 3-1. Hollywood is 3-2.

Verdugo Hills 94 1/2, Sun Valley Poly 42, Canoga Park 18 1/2
Dartanian Hightower won the long jump at 19-0, the triple jump at 41-0 and the high jump at 5-7 and Miles Sugitan cleared 12-6 in the pole vault for host Verdugo Hills (4-1, 3-0), which won 13 of 15 events in the tri-meet.

Girls

Hollywood 74 1/2, North Hollywood 41, Grant 39 1/2
Freshman Chelsea Williams jumped 35-4 to win the triple jump for Hollywood (4-1). Grant is 3-1.
