Peter Lambert, San Dimas, Sr. The UCLA signee and second-round draft pick was 13-0 with a 0.34 earned-run average in helping San Dimas win its first 31 games.

Patrick Sandoval, Mission Viejo, Sr. The top player in Southern Section Division 2 is headed to USC. He went 10-3 with a 0.98 ERA for the division champion Diablos.

CATCHERS

Chris Betts, Long Beach Wilson, Sr. The second-round draft pick batted .473 with 29 RBIs and eight home runs as one of the top power hitters in the Southland.

Lucas Herbert, San Clemente, Sr. The UCLA signee and second-round draft pick had 50 hits, batted .417 and hit eight home runs for the 25-8 Tritons.

INFIELDERS

Royce Lewis, JSerra, So. The Trinity League MVP contributed 44 hits and a .389 batting average in leading the Lions to a 27-5-1 record.

Hunter Greene, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, So. The Mission League MVP batted .390 with 22 runs batted in and as a pitcher had a record of 3-2 with a 1.77 ERA.

Scott Ogrin, Valencia, Jr. The Foothill League MVP had 56 hits, 28 RBIs, a .509 batting average and six home runs.

OUTFIELDERS

Landon Silver, Huntington Beach, Jr. Huntington Beach won the Division 1 championship, and Silver’s clutch hitting made a huge impact. He hit seven home runs and batted .352.

Daniel Amaral, Huntington Beach, Sr. The UCLA signee was the Sunset League MVP, batting .404 with 44 hits.

Alex McKenna, Alemany, Sr. The Cal Poly signee hit .402 with 33 hits and was known for throwing out runners at the plate.
