Shooting at house party leaves man dead; assailant at large
Police are searching for a person who shot and killed a man during a house party in South Los Angeles early Sunday morning.
The incident happened at about 1:38 a.m. on the 2000 block of West 77th Street, said LAPD Officer Sally Madera.
“The victim was at a party when he was confronted,” Madera said.
Witnesses told police the assailant pulled out a gun, shot the man once and then fled in a dark-colored vehicle, Madera said.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by fire officials. His identity has not been released.
