Man who allegedly stabbed father surrenders following barricade
A 30-year-old man who allegedly stabbed his father during an argument before barricading himself inside a Littlerock home was arrested Sunday morning, authorities said.
Sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene at 11200 Block of East Avenue R8 about 1:30 a.m. after reports of a fight. When they confronted the suspect, Cesar Jovany Linares, in the home’s frontyard, he fled into the house, said Lt. Ken Wright, in a news release.
Linares’ father, who got out of the residence before the barricade began, was treated and released at the scene.
A crisis negotiation team convinced Linares to surrender about 8:35 a.m.
Linares was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and obstructing peace officers, Wright said.
