Friday

Westlake Village Westlake (2-0) vs. Long Beach Poly (2-0) at Veterans Stadium, 7:30 p.m.: Long Beach Poly’s outstanding defense held Narbonne to 82 yards last week. Westlake’s offense, led by top junior quarterback Malik Henry, will offer a tougher challenge, but the Warriors must find a way to contain defensive tackle Joseph Wicker, who has 10 sacks in two games. Poly will try to improve its offensive consistency under quarterback Josh Love. The pick: Poly.

San Diego St. Augustine (1-1) at Los Angeles Loyola (2-0), 7:30 p.m.: For the first time since 1949, Loyola is hosting a game on campus. A sold-out crowd of more than 4,000 will be on hand to see whether the Cubs might be a Pac-5 Division playoff team this season. So far, the running game has been impressive, led by Daniel Tolbert, David Cooper and Drake Beasley. The pick: Loyola.
