Sergio Valenzuela improved to 5-0. Anthony Camarena and Kenny Gallegos each had three hits. Edgar Enriguez added two hits and two RBI.
Aliso Niguel 2, Capistrano Valley 0: Kyle Molnar threw the complete game, striking out 11, to outduel Jordan Bocko.
Orange Lutheran 14, Pacifica 9: Zachary Lew had three hits and three RBI and Bobby Fulkerson contributed a home run, double and four RBI for the Lancers. Luis Piaza had a home run for Pacifica.
Temescal Canyon 12, Perris 2: Devin McKesson had three hits in a Sunbelt League opener.
Corona 14, Corona Santiago 1: The Sharks (7-1, 0-1) suffered their first defeat in a Big VIII League game. JT Richards went five for five and Bryce Pongs had three hits and four RBI.
Norco 3, Roosevelt 2: The Cougars improved to 7-1 and 1-0 in the Big VIII League with a nine-inning win. Austin Henig had the big hit in the ninth. Trevor Thompson homered in the eighth.
Cypress 5, Mater Dei 0: Pitchers James Acuna (3-0) and Isaiah Parra combined to lift Cypress. Acuna threw six shutout innings and hasn't allowed an earned run this season. Parra got the save and contributed two RBI.
Palisades 3, Venice 0: Jed Moscot threw the shutout for the Dolphins, evening their Western League record at 1-1. Moscot allowed four hits, struck out seven and walked one.
Hamilton 4, University 3: The Yankees (10-1, 2-0) got three hits from Dalton Blumenfeld, who scored the game-winning run on an RBI double by Ethan Lazar.
Fullerton 1, Troy 0: In a game at Angel Stadium, Brent Bell struck out 13 and allowed two hits.
Carter 3, Moreno Valley 1: Chris Landazuri struck out eight in a complete game for Carter.
Rancho Cucamonga 4, Chino Hills 3: The Cougars (7-2, 2-0) won the Baseline League game behind pitcher Collin Chouinard, who struck out four in a complete game.
Baldwin Park 4, Sierra Vista 1: Isaiah Martinez hit a home run in the eighth inning. Anthony Franco went the distance, striking out six and walking none in the Montview League game.
La Salle 15, St. Paul 0: La Salle won its Del Rey League opener. Brandon Jenkins threw the shutout. Ryan Garcia and Hayden Tapert each had four hits.
