Football: Servite's A.J. Gass leaves for Garces

A.J. Gass, the football coach at Anaheim Servite for the last two seasons, has been hired as the head coach at Bakersfield Garces, according to the Bakersfield Californian.

Servite sent out a news release Tuesday afternoon confirming that Gass had resigned. His two-year record as head coach was 10-13. He spent five years coaching at his alma mater.

His departure opens up one of the prized coaching jobs in Orange County.
