Soccer: Downey wins Aliso Cup
Two goals by Bryan Majano led Downey past Aliso Niguel, 2-0, on Monday in the championship game of the Aliso Cup.
In another soccer match, Loyola edged Paramount, 2-1. Adam Eaton and Elliot Smith-Hastie scored goals for Loyola, the defending Southern Section Division 1 champion.
In girls’ soccer, El Camino Real defeated Palisades, 6-0.
