Top prep football games on Friday night:

Encino Crespi (5-1, 2-1) at Sherman Oaks Notre Dame (5-1, 1-1), 7 p.m.This annual neighborhood rivalry matchup usually produces a dramatic finish, and both teams are coming in ready for peak performances. Notre Dame is led by a trio of outstanding offensive players in quarterback Cole Klayman, running back Leo Lambert III and receiver CJ Sanders. Crespi’s defense might be the best in the Mission League, led by safety Marvell Tell. It’s going to be a physical, back-and-forth struggle. The pick: Crespi.

Santa Ana Mater Dei (5-1, 0-1) vs. Anaheim Servite (4-2, 1-0) at Cerritos College, 7:30 p.m.

The weekly grind of the Trinity League continues with a duel of Orange County rivals that need a win to help their playoff chances. Servite not only has Oregon-bound quarterback Travis Waller but also an exceptional group of receivers that includes Equanimeous St. Brown, Osiris St. Brown and Terrell Bynum. If Waller is able to dictate what he wants to do, the Monarchs could be in trouble. The pick: Mater Dei.
