Grayson Allen scored a career-high 32 points, and No. 5 Duke beat Georgetown, 86-84, in the 2K Classic championship on Sunday at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Derryck Thornton had 14 points and Matt Jones scored 11 for the Blue Devils (4-1), who trailed by five at halftime.

Allen bounced back nicely from a shoddy performance in a loss to Kentucky on Tuesday. The sophomore came off the bench and set a career high with 30 points in Friday night’s win over Virginia Commonwealth and then returned to the starting lineup against the Hoyas and made nine of 12 shots in his fourth game with at least 25 points.

Isaac Copeland scored 21 points for Georgetown (1-3), but was scoreless in the second half until hitting two late three-pointers. D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera and freshman Kaleb Johnson added 14 points apiece.

L.J. Peak’s dunk with 17:10 left gave the Hoyas a 54-53 lead, but the Blue Devils responded with a 10-0 run. Allen got the surge started with three free throws, and Amile Jefferson finished it off with a layup off a pass from Jones.

at No. 12 Arizona 61, Northwestern State 42: Gabe York scored 18 points, and the Wildcats moved to 4-0 for the sixth straight season. Allonzo Trier added 10 points Arizona, which overcame a subpar shooting effort to extend the nation’s longest active home winning streak to 42 games.

No. 16 Utah 74, Temple 68: Jakob Poeltl had a huge performance and Brandon Taylor hit the go-ahead shot with 28.4 seconds left, lifting the Utes (4-1) past the Owls (1-3) in the third-place game of the Puerto Rico Tipoff in San Juan.

Poeltl finished with 32 points and 11 rebounds and made all four of his free throws in the final 4.6 seconds.

at No. 25 Oregon 73, Valparaiso 67: Dillon Brooks had 26 points and 13 rebounds and Tyler Dorsey added 21 points for the Ducks (4-0). Brooks scored 18 points in the second half, including eight straight during a 12-2 run that gave Oregon its largest lead at 63-53.
