Update: The Galaxy returns from a two-week break, its longest of the season, to face former Chelsea star Didier Drogba. The Ivorian striker had a hat trick in his first MLS start to keep Montreal in the hunt for the Eastern Conference’s final playoff berth. The Galaxy, which leads the MLS in scoring, lost its last time out for the first time since July 25. It has never lost to the Impact and has lost just once in 14 games this season at home, where it is anticipating its fifth consecutive sellout. A win would send the Galaxy back to the top of the Western Conference standings. The team is expected to be at full strength with Gyasi Zardes, Robbie Keane, Omar Gonzalez and A.J. DeLaGarza all returning from international duty.
